Even if you do choose to Build on your own... you still don't have to be completely alone. Sometimes just having an experienced, knowledgeable ear to bounce your ideas off of, or having your plans reviewed by an experienced designer can be worth its weight in concrete!
For a relatively small fee, you can have a professional advisor, sounding board and expert review of your plans, process and progress. For the inexperienced self contractor, this extra bit of insurance can be money well spent. Services are provided on an hourly rate, quoted total price, or project value percentage basis, depending upon the nature and amount of assistance required.
